Eccleshall Parish Council consists of 15 councillors who are elected every four years to serve as representatives of the residents of the Parish of Eccleshall. The last election was due to be held on 2nd May 2019. But there were insufficient candidates for the vacant seats so every candidate was effectively elected.
The council has a chairman and vice chairman and several committees each with a chairman and vice chairman.
The Planning Committee meets most often, and there is a Footpaths Committee, Traffic Management Committee, Enhancements Committee, Policy & Resources Committee, Staffing Committee.

Members of the public are invited to attend meetings as observers and at the main council meeting in the public participation section they may address the council.
PARISH COUNCIL ELECTIONS
The Eccleshall Parish Council has fifteen seats and unfortunately only 12 names were submitted.
Therefore there was no election and the 12 candidates will become councillors on 7th May 2019
These 12 people will form the basis of the Council and will co-op the remaining three at an early sitting of the council.

PARISH COUNCILLORS WHO RETIRED
Five parish councillors did not stand and therefore retired from the council on 7th May 2019. They are David Jacques who represented Croxton, Phil Alcock, Phil Baskerville, Graham Garner and Tina Price who all represented the town ward. Paul Mullee submitted his nomination papers past the deadline and will therefore face co-option for one of the three vacant seats.
Three new people were nominated and therefore become councillors and they are Phillip Stenning, Martin Watson and Rosalyn Taylor
